English with Joy

Hello Parents! We have been very busy in English class these past few months learning numbers, colors, songs, and even reading books together! I'm sure that your children are always happy to share with you at home their favorite English songs.

As the Christmas season approaches, we will begin to learn a song to perform at the Christmas concert. This year your children will sing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." I will post the song below. Feel free to sing this at home as much as possible! Have a great November and always feel free to email me with any questions.
We Wish You a Merry Christmas

Hello! I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach your children English! As we begin the semester we will focus on learning many English songs and chants to familiarize the students with the language. So far this semester we have practiced our ABC'S, Counting to 10, Colors, and the parts of the body! We have been very busy, and I can see your children beginning to feel more comfortable in an English environment. They love the songs that we are singing, and I know they would enjoy singing for you at home.

I will attach the links to the songs we have been singing in class below...

5 Little Monkeys(one of the favorites)
The color song
Brown Bear, Brown Bear
Head, shoulders, knees and toes
Counting to 10
ABC's
Wheels on the bus(they know the movements for this song)

As your children learn new songs, I will put them up for you to practice at home.

We will begin a unit on the Alphabet next week. Look for worksheets that your children complete in class to review at home.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at joy.keith@tes.tp.edu.tw

Have a great week!
Joy
